Meet Our Team

Cheryl Selle
Office Manager

Cheryl is one of the friendly people who will first greet you when you come to our office. She conducts our new patient interviews, assists patients with their financial arrangements, and schedules appointments. Cheryl is our financial wiz—she handles all our accounting—plus she’s the one we turn to with computer issues. She has completed Whitehall Team Training (along with the rest of our staff) and Team Leader Training. Cheryl is actively involved in many local groups. She is the President of the West High Booster Club, and is working to raise funds to renovate the athletic stadium. Watching sports with her children and husband is one of her favorite pastimes. And besides all that, she still manages to have time for such favorite activities including cooking, photography, and exercising.

Pier Brewer
Patient Care Coordinator

Pier handles all marketing and financial arrangements. She has a business degree in management and marketing and has spent 20 years in the profession.

Pier loves to ski, hunt, camp, water ski, and hang out with her husband.

Nancy Lordemann
Patient Care Coordinator

Nancy is one of the friendly voices you’ll hear over the phone when you call our office. She greets patients, schedules appointments, handles check-in and checkout, answers questions, and assists patients in any way she can. She has worked in the dental field for 10 years, and attends continuing education program with the rest of the staff to further her skills. Nancy was recently certified by the Jay Grier Scheduling Institute for “Excellence in Dedication and Achievement in Helping All Patients Receive Superior Health Care.” Outside of the office, she savors quality time with her three children, three grandchildren, and friends, and likes to hike, cook, and travel when she can.

Donna Armstrong
Patient Care Coordinator

Donna is responsible for scheduling patients, billing and handling insurance information. Prior to working for Dr. Brewer, Donna spent 14 years with the Billings School District. Donna received certification through the Jay Geier Scheduling Institute for Excellence in Dedication and Achievement in Helping All Patients Receive Superior Health Care. During her leisure time, Donna loves cooking, gardening, biking, walking, camping, and visiting her children who live on both coasts.

Trisha May
Patient Care Coordinator

Tricia assists with day-to-day operations in our front office. She calls our patients with friendly reminders when it’s time to schedule their next cleaning. She’ll greet you when you arrive for an appointment, and check you out when you’re finished. Tricia received her BA degree from Montana State University and is a member of the Billings West Rotary Club. Outside of the office, she likes to garden, ski, and make jewelry.

Kathy Kirschman
Patient Care Coordinator

Kathy greets patient and makes sure they are checked in and out. She also helps answer questions on the phone. She has 6 years' experience in healthcare and insurance and a degree in business management.

Kathy likes home remodeling and improvement; she also enjoys working in the yard and spending time with her family and friends.

Julie Patterson
Patient Care Coordinator

Julie greets our patients with a smile and has a heart for helping people. She also verifies insurance benefits, assists with payment arrangements, and helps patients schedule convenient appointments. Since 1998, Julie has worked in a medical office setting.

Her weekends are filled with Bible study and church activities. She also enjoys home improvement projects, shopping, and watching reality TV.

Anna O'Donnell
Patient Care Coordinator

As the inviting face you'll meet when you visit our office, Anna prides herself on being warm, friendly, and helpful. She will greet you and make you feel welcome, then answer your questions about our paperwork and your insurance. After your visit, Anna may call to make sure your recovery is going as expected. She also keeps our office running smoothly by putting together new patient charts and handling marketing.

With a bachelor's degree in political science and international relations, and a minor in philosophy, Anna values education. She is currently taking radiology technology classes at the College of Technology. Before working with us, Anna was an eligibility administrator for EBMS. She has also worked in marketing and for the Street Team at 1-800-DENTIST in Los Angeles.

Anna enjoys time with family and friends after work. She is a member of Screen Actor's Guild, AFTRA, and American Red Cross. Traveling, skydiving, surfing, and rock climbing appeal to her adventurous side. She also participates with the Billings Studio Theatre and Venture Theatre. Anna volunteers at animal shelters in her free time.

Valerie Blair
Dental Assistant

Our patients get to know Valerie as Dr. Brewer’s right-hand woman. As a chair-side dental assistant, she works closely with Dr. Brewer to assist in all aspects of patient treatment. On top of her 12 years of experience in the dental field, she has advanced training in cardiac life support, endodonics, and oral sedation through the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS) program. Outside of the office, she can be found enjoying time with her two sons. She also likes seeing friends, playing games, reading, mountain-biking, and jewelry-making.

Kim Gililland
Dental Assistant

When you visit our office for the first time, you will get to know Kim, our new patient coordinator. She will learn about you and your dental care goals, while taking x-rays and photos for your file. She assists in diagnosis and creating treatment plans.
With 10 years of experience as a dental assistant and extensive continuing education credits, Kim is a valuable asset to our team. She has completed advanced education courses in oral sedation, prosthetics, and a CRA course in “Implementing Comprehensive Dentistry.” She also received radiography certification from the Montana Dental Association.

Kim is actively involved in the community as a member of the Billings Bulls Fan Club and the Billings Jaycees. She is the Montana State Individual Development Vice President of the Montana Jaycees. Kim is also a PADI-certified scuba diver and member of the Helena Scuba Club (she is currently working on search-and-rescue certification!). She also enjoys photography and training her awesome Golden Retriever, Bella.

Athena Gorder
Certified Dental Assistant

Athena Gorder’s passion for dentistry goes far beyond her certification as a dental assistant. She enjoys treating each patient with the individualized care and TLC they deserve, and her interest in the field of dentistry is intensive. In addition to her CDA, Athena also has her CDPMA, CPR certification, Super Expanded Dental Assisting Certificate, Certificate of Qualification from Montana Dental Association for Radiography, and Indiana State Radiation License. She’s working toward a fellowship in the American Dental Assistants’ Association and attended pre-dental studies at MSU and Indiana University.

The gentle care and genuine interest she treats each patient with in our practice is pure passion for the art of dentistry. Athena hopes to attain her dental degree in the future. When she’s not studying or assisting patients, she enjoys watching her children play sports and sometimes hitting the softball or spiking a volleyball herself. You may see Athena out on the open road on her motorcycle, and she enjoys traveling and reading, too. 

Bridget Hanebury
Certified Dental Assistant

Bridget handles a phases of patient care. She is a graduate from Front Range Community College’s Dental Assistant Program and their Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Program. She has 17 years in office experience(5yrs. as temp. services in 14 offices). She is a member  of the Dental Assistants National Board (CDA).

She enjoys stained glass crafts, tae kwon do, sewing, reading, rifle hunting with husband and gardening.

Michelle Marker
Dental Assistant

From simple restorations to root canal therapy, the clinical side of dentistry appeals to Michelle. She enjoys working chairside with the doctor and holds certification in radiology and CPR. She also trained in phlebotomy and participates on an infection control committee.
At home, Michelle raises her three kids who are very involved in sports: football, wrestling, basketball, and soccer. As a sports enthusiast, Michelle enjoys hiking, biking, and working out in her free time.

Nicole Bryson
Dental Assistant

When you visit our facility, Nicole Bryson, our dental assistant, will greet you with a smile. You may also experience her gentle hands polishing and flossing your teeth or taking your X-rays. Nicole sterilizes our instruments for your safety, and she’ll schedule your next appointment before you leave our office. She likes to play a round of golf, do a little traveling, and experience the great outdoors when she’s not helping our patients.

Katie Hogenson
Dental Assistant

Katie answers phones, handles scheduling, monitors sedation patients, helps with financial arrangements, and updates our records. With a finance and medical background, she brings patients expert care – and always with a smile! Katie is a BLS instructor with Northwest Research and Education Institute, a committee member on the board of CPR Saturday, and a volunteer for Sandstone Elementary School.
After hours, she enjoys time outdoors on the golf course or at the lake. She also likes teaching, biking, and spending time at home with her family.

Bonnie Marak
Dental Assistant

Bonnie works chairside with our dentists to make your dental experience seamless. She will attend to your comfort while assisting with clinical procedures. Bonnie has been a dental assistant for over 25 years, and she enjoys helping our team make patients smile. When she isn't caring for smiles, Bonnie cares for her dogs, plants, and flowers at home.

Shari Collier
Dental Assistant

Shari assists the dentists with restorations, crown and bridgework, root canal therapy, and dentures. She also monitors patients while they are under sedation and tracks our lab cases. After your treatment, Shari may cal you to make sure you're doing well. She has pediatric training from Kennedy Pediatric Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. In addition, Shari is certified in radiology, nitrous oxide administration, and CPR. She has two year experience assisting in laser dentistry procedures.

Shari is an accomplished violinist with four years playing in the Idaho Falls Symphony. She is a member of the Whitefish Theater Company and Idaho Falls Art Guild, and she volunteers with Habitat for Humanity. In her free time, Shari enjoys singing, community theater, gardening and hiking with her two dogs.

Brittany Norwood
Dental Assistant

Brittany is our hygiene assistant, and she holds a certificate of competency in radiation health and safety. She will take your X-rays and present your treatment plan with the dentist. Then she will polish and floss your teeth following your professional cleaning. Before you go, Brittany will schedule your next visit.

An outdoor enthusiast, in the wintertime, Brittany likes to ski, and her summers are spent camping and golfing. She loves being a mom and experiencing life's adventures with her young son.

Debbie Porter
Dental Hygienist

Debbie has worked with Dr. Brewer since 1985, after receiving a BA in dental hygiene from Carroll College in 1984. She is licensed to practice dental hygiene in Montana by the Montana Board of Dentistry. She is also licensed to administer local dental anesthesia, and is CPR-certified. Debbie’s involvement in professional organizations is extensive. She is currently the Executive Director and Communications Chair for the Montana Dental Hygienists’ Association, and is also a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association. In 1998, she was awarded the Outstanding Dental Hygienist Award by the Montana Dental Association. She loves spending time with family, creating stained glass, and working in her yard.

Tammy Helmer

Tammy graduated from the Pasadena City College Dental Hygiene Program in 1992. She is licensed to administer local dental anesthesia, and is licensed to practice dental hygiene in Montana. Tammy’s very involved in professional organizations: She is currently the chairperson of the Ways and Means Committee of the Montana Dental Hygienists’ Association, and is a former president of the association. She is also a member of the Sigmi Phi Alpha dental hygiene honor society, and received the 2001 Outstanding Dental Hygienist Award. Tammy is a golfer who also enjoys decorating, traveling, and reading in her spare time.

Sarah Leichner
Dental Hygienist

Sarah received her Associates of Science degree from Sheridan College where she graduated with high honors. Along with her certification as a hygienist, she is also licensed to administer local dental anesthesia and perform CPR. Sarah loves to get outside and go fly-fishing, backpacking, snowboarding, and wakeboarding whenever possible.

Malanie Knudsen
Dental Hygienist

Malanie works in the operatory administering anesthesia and performing table X-rays, prophylaxis, and periodontal maintenance with a gentle touch and caring manner. A recent graduate of Sheridan Community College's Dental Hygiene Program, Malanie looks forward to a career of creating spectacular smiles.

After hours, Malanie likes to watch and play sports. Reading, scrap booking, and spending time with family and friends round out her free time.
